heres my idea in short and sweet notation..

Purpose: to make the engine temperature rise faster during the winter.

Idea: Make a shutoff valve in the airbox that makes it so no outside air is being pulled in. then, cut a hole in side of airbox and put a small tube there. this tube is intended to pull warmer air from inside the engine bay into the engine, thus heating it up faster. both valves could be controlled manually [PIA!!] OR could be connected to electronic servos [from old RC cars??] and hooked up to a power source--fuse box or battery--then switches could be run inside to the dash. this way, operation would be easier and more importantly WARMER![its gonna be winter soon]. I was thinking of doing this on an extra airbox so i can not ruin my beautifully handcrafted 3" duct mod..i think the least restrictive valve design would be a butterfly valve, like in a supercharger blower.

Is this a stupid idea? would performance be greatly inhibited? i was thinking about this the other day while freezing in my car on the way to school..thanks for your time+any input is GREATLY appreciated.

PS: Keep in mind i'm 16 and not the brightest tool in the shed, so take it easy on me if the idea is ludicrous.
