On other note , the Saab 900 radio is a self contained unit , you can remove it with the Sid and power it up with 12 volt source,all you have to do is activate the radio with its code , newer Saabs like the 9 3 and 9 5 radios have internal processors that need to interface with the 93 or 95's other on deck processors and need a device such as the tech2 to develop communications ,of which the 900 has neither the hard ware or software to talk to the 9 3 or 9 5 radio, thanks Wasyl at Saabradio
