State Farm is very tight with their claims. I would keep pushing the issue with them. DEMAND to have the top replaced. Go above your agents head if you need to. Write letters and keep records. Get you top replaced and then get a better insurance company. Why pay them to deny your claim?

I was involved in an accident that was clearly the other driver's fault (the driver was arrested). They were insured by State Farm. When I called the agent to ask about the claim he told me that they were denying the claim. My insurance company, Gieco, promptly paid the claim, minus my deductible. Geico then fought State Farm. The case was sent to arbitration and I won. My deductible was returned to me.

During my research I was told that State Farm has an unwritten policy to DENY EVERY CLAIM. I would recommend that you fight for your new top.
