Unless you live in a town with a population so small as to preclude the timely use of gasoline (8-10+ months), you can buy it anywhere. If a given station is very, VERY old, and in disrepair (suggesting leaky reservoirs), don't use it (call the E.P.A.)! The VAST majority of service stations "turn over" their petroleum products in plenty of time for appropriate combustion results. You would be incorrect to presume a "slow" station has a higher propensity toward "bad" gas. I would worry much more about driving your car while having less than a quarter tank. Change your filter when recommended. And please, don't be fooled by the "octane" discussions (it's an ANTI-knock rating, NOT a performance rating.
Hope this sheds some light on the subject; ain't science great?!
