The Saab has been running sweet and put new wheels and tires on it a few months ago, so with the Bilsteins all around it was finally riding sweet too. Of course, now it died the other night and my indie says the belt slipped or broke and there's likely a pile of bent valves in the head! He said that Saab should cover it because they cover the 60K and 90K belt change. Although its in the Saab system that the belt was done at 63K miles, the local dealer says no way is it covered, and I have an email into the Saab customer service center to find out what the dealio is.

Does anyone know the warranty particulars on the timing belt for the V6? The local dealer also said no way should it fail after less than 30K miles since it was changed, but that doesn't do me much good. Likely I'll have to face the sell at a major loss versus fix at a major loss decision point!!
