I'm skeptical at first to believe that an additive can raise the octane so high. Higher octane gas can be bought up to 112 but this number will decrease as you add it to the other gas in the car unless the tank is empty.
When adding a higher octane or making gas achieve a higher octane you have to look at the burn rate of the additive, which is often overlooked. There are products on the market that can raise the octane level but also have a slow burn rate. The slower the burn rate the higher the egt's, and hotter the engine will run. The hotter the engine and egt's the lower the performance of the car. You can raise the octane but you actually lower the performance of the car and possible destroy your catalytic converter. Rule number one find out the burn rate of the additive.
Do you know what the additive is?
