IMO, rather than clamp tightening, which may be good once, hose replacement at year 7 to 8 is better.
Hoses do seem to be better than they were years ago and far, far better than those of the 60s !
I recommended "leak-stop" to no man !! But this is NOT a "end of story" thing..
