Other Walmarts? I can get M1 0w40 and m1 5w40 local at Walmart here. The 5W40 Truck and SUV works very well. It is the same Delvac 1 which I used in my 95SET. SAMs club have a very narrow range of oils, no luck there.
Get any solvent type that shakes like water in the can. Never use anything that feels thick. The can will claim to free sticking rings and valves. Small cans are often the type that you drive on. Large 1 quart cans are flush types only. Some small cans are very strong and you do not drive on those either. Read carefully. It may take more than one treatment. Can't rember any brand in particular. Much of the solvent in the drive-on types will volitize and go away. Better to use a couple of weeks before an oil change. I would use a drive on type for a couple of weeks, then use a flush when changing, then go with M1 5W40 and add another can of drive on additive at that time. Then there is always AutoRX. If the above is not successful, you can then try the AutoRX.
I have personally seen where these things work. One was a V8 that was blowing major smoke on acceleration. Completely cured. The other was a well maintained Volvo that started to use some some oil, not very much, but the owner was very particular. Fixed that comsumption too.
But get under the engine and look for leaks. Easy to do if you change your own oil.
