Thanks for all the feedback! I did take my car to Planet Saab and I wasn't completely satisfied. They were nice enough, but after doing some of my homework on saabnet I found that they were not exactly helping me save any money.

I went into Planet Saab motnhs ago (June) and had an oil change. I told them about my breaks squeaking etc. and they ended up fixing some things I didn't know about. My check engine light came on and I was told that it probably meant I'd have to replace the ignition cassette. What they DIDN'T tell me is that I should first try using premium gas and worse case scenario...I could find a used cassette and change it in five minutes 'with a beer in one hand'. I believe that's what I read on the saabnet boards. When I went in with new information the mechanic changed his $400/parts&labor story pretty fast. I had told him how broke I was, so that was pretty slimy.

To top things off, they cracked a pipe that controlled my breaks while comleting my oil change. I drove off the lot and couldn't stop without a major struggle.

I don't trust them now, even though they were very nice. They could have saved me money and been more careful with my car. It took them almost two full days to do an oil change!? I told them that I was stranded from work without a car - they could have been more accomodating in my opinion.

I also haven't found much about any reputable Saab mechanics in the city - which is really too bad. Maybe I'll try Nordic Motors for my 60k service?

Thanks for all the feedback guys!
