Shifter Update UPDATE

I just finished replacing the SHIFTER LINKAGE on my '95 900 SETC... A few notes in addition to the SAAB updates for installation.
1) Have a good pair of gloves to cut off the bushing mount on the existing engine mount. I duct-taped the end of a new 12 point Bi-Metallic hacksaw blade and, due to limited space (duh!) sawed for about 30 min. on the barn floor with my eyes closed (medatitive/zen) until the part fell on my chest.
2) A good file is essential for removing the burs, etc. that are produced by the cutting process.
NEW LINKAGE WORKS GREAT

Thanks to all that suggested that I do the upgrade...White bushing on original design had failed at 131K. Have yet to road test thoroughly, but action seems to be improved, yet, noiser.
Posting for future sufferers! Sadly, dealer suggested that it might be the circlip trying to bring me in. THE SAABSITE WAS EXTREMELY HELPUFL, THANKS TK!
