Deal with the low cost preventative maintenance type things first.
Clean the injectors with Techron Concentrate
Gap and install new plugs or regap the old ones if clean
Clean the ignition cables, boots, cap and coil face.
If the above does the job, these are routine things that should have been done anyways. Until these basics are performed, you do not have any reason to suspect any durable component of failing.
After that, you could clean the TB and IAC, also basic maintenace and cheap to do. These two components deternine idle and startup air flow.
As for the broader question, there is no single cause. IE the pump, FPR or even the fuel filter can all cause low fuel pressure. Failed VAC lines are basic maintenace. If the above does not help, start to examine these for cracks and splits.
