I have used AMSOIL engine flush for over 20 years in various autos and trucks with excellent results. There is two schools of thought when switching to a synthetic. Typically engines over 20,000 miles use AMSOIL flush. First way is to add a can of AEF for 4 cylinders to exisiting oil, only uses a pint make sure you do not over fill. Run for 20-30 minutes at idle that will begin the cleansing process. The second method is to perform two oil changes. buy cheap petroluem oil and cheap oil filter. If crancase hold 5 quarts with filter then place 4.5 quarts then 1 can AEF run for 20-30 minutes at idle, You will be amazed what comes out. Then switch over to AMSOIL. They are the first in Synthetics and pioneered the Synthetic lubricant industry.I also use AMSOIL 0w-30 engine oil there top formula. I have 1995 900 se v-6 with 202,000 miles running fantastic. My gas mileage when up as well. good luck
