I have/had both. My car came with the exposed Vikings. One was bent and another later on. To replace I went with Ronals. See my site for a before and after.
I spoke with Gary at Ronal and ordered from him (former or still? a site sponsor). Pretty decent deal at the time. They have held up well (so far - knock on wood).
On which rims, it's up to you. Depends on what you are looking for - size, strength, cost, look, etc. Ronal seemed a good mix for me, since I was unable to find the "3-spoke" style I was looking for. I wanted the ones from the 9-5 Aeros, but 17s are a bit extreme for the WNY roads. Unless you are aiming for the potholes, you should be okay. I also stepped up to a higher profile tire to aid in the cushioning of the new rims.
Good luck with what you choose. Feel free to ask questions! Thanks.
