Tie Rod suspension question...

I hooked everything back together. Backed out of the driveway, and on full turn either direction I get a noticeable vibration/wobble/sort-of grinding noise.
Looking through Haynes, it describes tie rod removal and refitting as noticing how far the nut is threaded, and to make sure that the nut is threaded the same on refit to ensure no change in steering characteristics. When I was going through the Koni installation, Dean's instructions indicate a torque of 44 ft-lbs.
Would this be the cause of my wobble? I can recreate driving around (a parking lot) in tight circles, either direction - left or right, forward or back. I will try backing them off and driving around when I get home.
It was slushy-snowing like mad when I went to take it for a spin, and I thought (hoping) it was just trying to gain traction in the muck, but it happens when on full turn. Jerking the car back and forth and straight lines produce no noise, grinding (which rules out tightness/torque issues - axle nuts, etc.?). I'm worried because we did not remove the passenger side strut assembly from the shaft/spline, and I am afraid we might have ruined something there. However, wheels spin and turn just fine.
Any thoughts? Thanks everyone for your continued support! It's only day 10 for me.
