I am in a fix and need a solution to this problem. Any suggestion would highly be appreciated.

I was on a trip from Atlanta, GA to Los Angeles starting last Thursday (Dec 23rd) morning. I had had my car overhauled, checked, serviced and spent 1.5 grand on it. It has not had a history of any major problem so far.

After covering about 200 miles (at about 70-75 mph), the blower just quit working, never to revive. (I have had this problem before, except that the blower would come on by itself after a while - works intermittently; my car has manual climate controls, and no ACC). I tried maxing the blower speed, and shifting from recirculate to fresh and back, but to no effect. The blower would not blow out any air (hot or cold) from either of the vents - windshield, cabin or floor.

When I reached Memphis, TN, I had to stop, since it was getting too hard to drive with a frozen windshield. (Mother Nature had conveniently dumped a ton of ice on Memphis). I tried starting the car a couple of hours after shutting it off, but the blower still would not work. The next morning however, voila! it worked just fine. I did not want to take a chance, and left the car at the dealership for a checkup. They left it running idle (on Monday) for an hour and a half, and the blower worked fine. They left it running a second time for 2 and a half hours (on Tuesday), it still works fine. I am now totally and completely puzzled, and am wondering what could possibly be wrong with the blower.

Any suggestions would dearly be appreciated.

Thanks in advance!!

(Rahul from Atlanta, car in Memphis, now joined work in Los Angeles!)
