Sad Story, Good Ending.

Well it hit the fan yesterday. Sad day for me., I was on my way home in upstate New York. Driving my trusted 96 900s with 173K. Has been running great. I hit black ice going maybe 35, I had no chance, went of f the road and rolled two maybe three times. Landed upside down. What turned out to be steam ( I thought it was smoke) was all around the Car. I easily got the seat belt off and ended up smashing the passenger door window with my fist and crawled out. I ended up with a bump on the head from the air bag. I think, and some minor cuts on my hand from breaking the glass. The car is totaled.
I had my seat belt on and the car with out doubt saved my life. The car was crushed everywhere except for the front and back seat area. The roof while smacked up did not cave in. In a lot of other cars I would be dead.
So my misfortune I hope will bring you all some comfort knowing your car will truly protect you as long as that seat belt is on.
Also I recommend everyone buy one of those hammer window breaking things that attached under the seat. The hand hurts today, I will be buying one for my next Saab.
Johnny F
PS. Thanks for all the help the 900ng board has given me over the years. You can find me on the 93 board next week I hope.
What do you think I should pay for a new 93 Aero?? Auto, Premium package, winter package….
