Brice,
I upgraded mine and the result WAS outstanding. It was like a different car. Much tighter front end and smoother ride. I had my suspension upgrade done by a shop about 4 months ago, but I did my own clutch and struts last year, so I know what is involved....It's quite a project without a hoist to put the car up on. The work is getting the subframe off. Once this is off, you can install the upgrade on the floor, since all parts bolt to the subframe. You could do it, but it will not be easy. Breaking the ball joints without damaging the CV boots will be a challenge (see Bill H's post), and you'll need spring compressors if you decide to do the struts at the same time...and getting the large retainer nut off the strut tube required a huge vice bolted to a steel table.
Good luck.
