You do not have a hall effect sensor. That is part of the non turbo system to determine #1 cylinder firing phase relationship between camshaft and crank.
Both engines have crankshaft position sensors that are used to determine crank angles. Again, these typically fail hot. You can find the connector and check resistance, disconnected, when no start, to see if its a few hundred ohms or open circuit (failed). With a dead CPS the ECU does not know that you are cranking the engine, so it does not CEL for anything. And if no CPS signal, then the ECU does not even turn on the fuel pump. If you montored power to the fuel pump when cranking during a no start, then you would know that the CPS was working right if the fuel pump then got power.
Fuse #32 seems to be dedicated to the fuel pump. The fuel pump relay provides power to that fuse when closed. So you can do this:
1 monitor power at that fuse, should be there when cranking, if not, CPS may be the cause.
2 apply power there to force the pump to run
3 measure ohms to ground on fuse connector to see resistance at the pump. should not be infinite. Measure when thing do run well for a reference if you like.
The fuel pump relay also powers up the oxgen sensor heaters via fuse #38. I can't tell you what leg of the #32 fuse goes to the relay output and which to the pump.
Engine temp sensors (ETS) and intake temp sensors will CEL if signal is out of bounds or improbable. Effect of bad t-stat on ETS will generate a CEL as well if engine temps stay low or drop low while running.
Check condition of CPS and DI connectors.
Did you get and install FPR yet?
Can you borrow/swap DIs with someone?
Remove TBTC and dribble a bit of fuel into the TB and then try to start. This might indicate if there was no fuel pressure and if the ignition is there. But, the TB is not a carburator! If you get anything from that, it will be rough and be out of that fuel in an instant. Use at your own risk.
