Timing belt can be done for 1/2 that price. You need to remove the serpentine/accessory belt to do the timing belt, and the cost of the part is like $30, so $300 to do the accessory belt when it needs removal anyway is a hose job, and the pulleys probably don't need replacing either.

Brakes and rotors are probably the easiest DIY repair in the world, once the tire's off, its like 4 bolts, and the cost I would say is even less than Asia's quoted, just check out a site sponsor for part prices, you'll see. I think I did all four for under $150, could be wrong, but that sound's about right. Rear brakes $610? Do the math, even if you don't have the right tools you could buy a complete set of ratchets, wrenches, sockets jack stands and still come out ahead doing it yourself. Don't let them sell you this "its a european car, they're hard to work on" baloney, they're all the same.

As for "leaky radiator" I have not seen reports here in the last few years of V6 radiators leaking. That said, the hoses can leak, split, develop holes, but replacing a hose takes about 4 turns of the screw and a little spilled coolant. Hose replacement costs run from a few $$ to maybe $25.
