The offset on NG900 and/or 9-3 wheels is 49mm positive offset. If it's a 17 inch Viggen wheel application, it's 42mm. In other words, the smaller the number, the more the wheel and tire will protrude from the fenderwell. I'm fairly certain that the above numbers are correct. You have to be careful with some of the aftermarket applications because they are generally 35-38mm of positive offset, meaning they will sit out farther than your stock wheels. Generally this isn't a problem, but if you upsize your wheel size you could snag the rolled part of the fenderlip at the rear of the car over a dip or bump if you have passengers. There's another potential issue of wheels sitting out too far and and putting undue stress on wheel bearings, etc. If you don't go with Tirerack or Discount Tires for aftermarket wheels, Ronal Wheels in California is very familiar with Saabs and has dealt favorably with many people on this board.
