With a xxWyy oil, once the engine warms up, all you have is the Xyy action and the xxW does not count for anything. With dyno oils, the xxW was achieved with viscocity index improvers that could break down, but not really an issue with real synthetics like M1. Might be an issue with Castrol FakeTeck(tm) and other group III dyno oils. But in warmer weather or climates a 10W or 15W would be fine. M1 0W40 is Saab's spec oil for current production of this engine and is their solution to oil sludge problems... so far.
