Hi David
I've got a 900 SE with a 3.0L V6. The conversion has now got about 20,000 miles under the belt. Firstly it's virtually a straight plug and play job. The only thing which needs to be changed is the ring gear as that on the 9000 is different. The inlet/exhaust manifolds in the 900 bolt straight on as does all the ancilliaries. The motronic is adaptable and adjusts for the additional fueling requirements with no problems (mine runs a 4bar FPR.) The gearbox (assuming auto) will handle the extra torque though constantly hammering it in sport and kickdown will shorten it's life so regular oil changes are in order.
The conversion turns the car into what it should have been in the first place - seriously quick (from personal experience it will comfortably stay with a 9-5 Aero hot all the way - in fact with no turbo lag it is quick at the bottom end)
Downside is slightly worse fuel consumption (but not much) plus your front tyres will need replacing a bit more often.
If you've got any more questions just drop me a line at ian at ian-wigg.co.uk.
Don't know where you are located but if it's anywhere near Guildford in the UK you're more than welcome to have a look at mine.
