I too wanted the contitech belt to do the short belt mod on my 97 900s and found it hard to find. Mostly wanted that belt because I knew if Anders was using it there would be no problems with the size.....I actually called Anders in California and had a nice conversation with him before doing the mod. The contitech belt can be found at foreigncarpartsonline.com and their sku is W1000-36484 (I found it by typing 6PK-2460 in their search function and since their product description was not very detailed I called them just to make sure that it was the correct part) price is $48.48. If you click on their sku when it pulls it up you can see how many they have in stock. Also got the Upper Idler Pulley (4356127) from eeuroparts.com for $35.20. The only other thing I had to buy was some loctite for the pulley bolt ($2.50) and a Husky 1/2" Drive 10" Extension Model 24222 which was something like $4.50 at home depot. I followed the directions at Michel Briand's GREAT Saab 900NG DIY site: http://pages.infinit.net/mlbriand/index.shtml
The only thing I did not do is take off the front tire (I just turned the wheel to the right as far as possible and found that it was not necessary to remove the wheel, if you have a way to lift the car then it would be great to remove the wheel but it is not hard to do this mod without removing the wheel. Also printing out the belt routing (or a wireless laptop like I had) is really helpful in getting the belt routing correct. A coat hanger is the easy way to get the belt going where you want it to go in the tight confines where you are working.....) I am so glad I did this myself instead of paying a garage the $70 an hour for labor because I got to save all that money and it was actually fun!!!
