Maybe happens in 5th too, perhaps I was at higher rpm in 3rd & 4th (?)... wait, are you allowed to use boost in 5th gear in California? Think of all those extra hydro-carbons in the air!
If it only happened once, it could be most anything. A slug of bad gas getting burned off, a momentary electrical problem... Oil lights flicker because of old and cracked connectors on some older NG900's. Older Jag sedans with funky electrical systems sometimes cut ignition for a fraction of a second, nobody ever knew why.
Another, more serious alternative is broken motor mounts, and the whole engine lifting and then settling back at high torque. The throttle connection can extend a bit when the engine moves, so you feel the engine racing and twising on the mounts. Not sure if this can happen with Saabs, the basic mechanicals seem solid in my car.
