On the turbo, there can be a lot of the small diameter hose, for the BPV. For the NA engine, you may not need much at all. So best to have a look. With the NA you will have to remove the plastic plenum from over the TB to get at such anyways. There should be at least one short small hose from the TB as part of the PVC. But I can't think what else would have a small hose.
Just remembered, one small hose from TB or manifold to the fuel pressure regulator, which is on the end of the fuel rail, battery end.
5/32" rubber vac line should be fine
and you do not have to wory about turbo pressure blowing hoses off.
Inpect all such lines, there may be larger VAC lines, like the one from the evaporative control system soleniod purge valve to the TB.
Look for surface rot, splits and cracks which mostly occur at hose barbs.
The small hose to the PVC nylon TEE in the valve cover will be hard and stiff. The TEE will be hard and brittle and easily busted. If you need to remove the small hose from the TEE, DO NOT pull on it, but carefully cut it away from the TEE. With care still some risk of busting it.
The large exit from the TEE has a short rubber hose that swells and does not fit right. That can be corrected with some clamps or nylon wire ties.
