1. I am loosing a minor amount of coolant and I suspect it is the water pump. I got a small clicking in the area (I will check this a little later today). What are the signs of a leaking water pump? I am not seeing coolant on the floor or anywhere else. Headgasket was retorqued and it looks beautiful all around (no signs of ANY leaks).
2. I am planning on swapping my hydraulic clutch transmission. What exactly needs to be drained? Shall I put a clamp on the slave cylinder line from the brake reservoir to minimize brake fluid loss? Aside for bleeding and refilling the slave cylinder, what else should be done? I was checking the WIS and it calls for all sorts of bleeding including the master cylinder area of the brakes! (Maybe I am reading it all wrong).
3. When swapping the transmission, how hard is it to change the shaft seals? Seems like they are pressed into place. Are they press into place with a lot of pressure? Do I need a hydraulic press?
4. When lubricating the inner parts of the transmission, which grease brand do you recommend? I got CV joint, and high temp brake grease.
5. I have been upgrading power on my engine and I plan on a stage 3 ECU. How much power can the stock clutch handle? I am guessing after all my upgrades I might be in the 220s-280s (hard to tell with those hp numbers without a real dyno test).
Thanks!
