I replaced mine with Bilsteins Touring and I paid 289.00 shipped on e-bay (That's for all 4 shocks / struts!)
My car is 95 SE convertible with 132K miles on the clock. My Saab guy installed them and upon my request looked the whole front-end over, it needed nothing else! When brought it in I asked him to put the 93 upgrade kit if needed but after inpection he said you don't need it, everything is nice and tight. Of note, I live in georgia where our roads are frost free and smooth..
Anyways, the shocks are fantastic but anything stiffer would be annoying and probably to sitff for the flexible convertible chassis. I also installed the $90.00 Stiffer rear anti-roll bar from Taliaferro and the car drives better than it ever did. Less understeer, better turn-in, less body roll, NO wallow.
