Is there any way to make NG900 less noisy when driven?
The noise I am talking about is the regular motor kind of noise / rumble that comes either from the engine or the transmission. There is nothing particularly unusual or disturbing about it, but, when compared with a new 9-3, the noisiness of my '94 car is quite conspicuous.
The exhaust system is brand new all the way from the front to the back, and is actually very quiet. I've already gone through the Auto-RX cleaning of the engine and the transmission, switched everything to latest and greatest synthetic oils, tried a variety of tires, but the level of the engine noise from NG900 is still way too high.
I wonder if there are some cheap mods that can be done to make it quieter?
Soundproofing somewhere around the engine compartment?
