I have a 95 SET convt (132K Miles) and went with the Bilstein Tourings. The car handles far better than it ever did, the front-end wallow it always had is gone and I think the ride is overall more confortable because it is so much better controlled. They 289.00 shipped for all 4 on eBay
On the highway you do notice that it is a tad busier and stiffer. I think it's more confortable because there is a lot less up and down motion.
I also think that the Bilstein Touring shocks are about as stiff as the flexible topless chassis can handle.
I beleive that the HD's would be overkill and in addition to having an annoying bouncy ride, you would not get much handling improvement because the additional shock stiffness would just torque the chassis.
I have a Taliaferro chassis brace on order and can tell you about the difference when I get it which should be this week.
My 2 cents
