Mobil 1 0W-40 is commonly available, even at Walmart.
PepBoys carries Valvoline 5W-40.
Autozone carries Castrol 5W-40 (Made in Belgium) and Castrol 0W-30 (Made in Germany.)
Many places carry Valvoline MaxLife Synthetic 5W-30 and 10W-30. This one covers many euro-specs as well. Either one would be great for a SAAB.
Lately there seems to be plentiful supply of euro-spec oils, at least around my area (Philly.) If all else fails, I know that NAPA can special order Valvoline SynPower 5W-40 and the rare 0W-30 (Mercedes spec.) Also, you can order many euro oils online. For example, the excellent Elf (TotalFinaElf of Renault F1 fame) oil can be ordered from http://www.turbofrogperformance.com/.
