Entire clutch, or just the cable?

Well, the hits keep on coming.
Driving home from the store, coming to a stop sign, apply pressure to the clutch and a feel a thud. Now, I can't get her into gear unless I apply foot all the way to the floor and force it into gear. Is this the clutch itself or just the cable?
When I am going into gear and I do put the clutch all the way in, engine does rev, so the clutch is engaging. Not a snap and lose all pedal feel like when I snapped the cable in my Eclipse.
Clutch was new when I brought her home at 84K miles and almost 3 years ago. Real problem is indy is an hour and a half away. Any thoughts? Thanks.
