The following made my car handle really good: Bilstein HDs for struts and shocks, replaced the strut mounts, Boges, and used SKF mount bearings. Morevoer, got the MP steering rack brace and the rear sway bar. If you have the Boge mounts and they are still ok then retain them. The Boge mounts have stamp of a capital B enclosed in a circle, IIRC.

Regarding springs, the WIS notes six color codes and wire diameter for each color code. The color code I have is white/orange or orange/white. At any rate, from what I gather after, that color is second to the white/red color code. I think and I could be wrong, the white/red code is the "stiff" one, reserved for SE models. The SE models have the 24mm front sway bar and stiffer struts and shocks. At any rate, if your suspension is still good you may just retain the stock springs assuming you have the red/white code and go for a tire pressures of 38lbs, front, and 35lbs, rear.

After the upgrades to my car, at first, it kind of felt soft for me, used to be a Jeep driver, but the tire pressure changes gave me more of the road feel that I was craving for. On the other hand, if your front suspension requires replacement due to either the bushings or ball joints are in bad shape, then Genuine Saab website has the replacement control arms with poly bushings. And, they even have the complete front suspension, sway bar is connected to control arms, for $379 and for an additional $129 they will press the poly bushings for you.

Good luck!
