"Where is the clutch access cover"
Follow the clutch lever from the cable end to where the pivot shaft passes through the clutch housing. The plastic access cover is just below there. The cover pulls straight out of the housing. Use fingers or pry with a screwdriver; it snaps in/out of place, there are no fasteners holding it.
"how do I spot these components"
The clutch lever pivot arm has two bushings, one at the top where it passes through the clutch housing wall, one inside the housing - follow the pivot shaft down to locate it. You can lube both sides of the top bushing and the top of the bottom bushing. The throwout bearing and forks are straight in through the access hole. I recommend disconnecting the clutch cable to allow moving the parts while lubing them.
Here's a good illustration of the layout: http://www.genuinesaab.com/psi/files/clutch-cable.pdf
Doing this is simple and easy, much easier than replacing a clutch cable. It takes me 5-10 minutes. I recommend disconnecting the clutch cable to allow moving the parts while lubing them.
