J'AAB problem solved on Bilstine HD and noise

Took apart the front struts again today and found out what was making all that noise on my new Bilstine HD struts!!! When I took them apart everything was looking good till I took off the spring and looked at the retainer nut that holds the shock into the (black) strut tower. it was loose! When I put it in the first time their must have been a build up of paint on the shock, so when I got it tight it really wasn't. Well the paint rubbed off on the drivewr side and I got it nice and tight. On the passenger side (where their was less noise) I must have gotten it tighter but it was still loose and well that got fixed. Took ot for a ride and everything was nice and tight with no harsh noise!!! GREAT!!!! awasm ride now.

J'AAB hope this helps you out it kind of sounds like you have the same problem.
