Well, you can see it this way. If the car has made it to 233K miles it haven't really been abused and who knows how long these engine/trannies last when taken care of.
I still suggest that you find a Saab shop where they can take a look at it and let you know if it needs a lot of other stuff.
It can be really difficult to sell a car with that kind of mileage since the general acceptance among US domestic car owners is that after 100K you need to look for another car.
Die hard Saab owners and mechanics though know that 200K is nothing if taken reasonable care off.
You don't say if it is a turbo/non turbo or stick/auto.
It is really no use to calculate what it would be to throw a rebuilt tranny/engine in the car since it would bring the price so high up that you could go out on the street and buy a newer Saab with less miles for those kind of money.
