Anyone have the new Auto-Dimming Mirror?

I'm pondering Saab's new Auto-Dimming rearview mirror accessory, and I've got a bunch 'o questions:
Does anyone here have it already?
How well does it work?
Does the installation involve removing the existing mirror, or does it just go over it?
Does it involve removing the front cover where the overhead microphone and lights are?
Exactly where does it get its power from?
I find that the dimmed position of the standard rearview mirror is actually too dark for most of my night driving conditions. If I'm stopped in bumper to bumper traffic, I can't see a car right behind me if it is so close that its headlights are obstructed by the high back end of the 9-3. Conversely, if I flip to the dimmed position in borderline dark conditions, all I see is the inside roof of my car, reflected from the regular mirror portion.
Any opinions appreciated.
