From what I've read and experienced, the 9-3 suffers from both problems. Rut related steer seems to be universal throughout the 9-3 line, but it gets progressively worse on the SE and Viggen. This probably has alot to do with the tires, though the Viggen (which I will henceforth refer to as the Wigglin') has a greater offset that amplifies the problem a good deal. Some find this acceptable. But then some think that admitting any problem with their car somehow lessens their self worth. To me, the Wigglin' has so much torque related steering that it is unsafe at times. If it were me driving it, I might be O.K., but this is my wife's car - and while she's a great driver, it makes a difference when it's someone you care about.
The camber steer problem is more spotty, and many 9-5's seem to suffer the problem as well. I haven't noticed it, myself. Sufferers of camber steer report various symptoms - some claim the car steers up the camber, for others the car steers down (normal, to a degree). Still others report an alignment problem that causes the car to pull to one side all the time - one that Saab cannot diagnose.
There are two or three discussions lower down on the page that give some good information on what causes these steering irregularities, "What causes torgue steer", especially, has some good info from 2Slow Joe. Take a look at them before you talk to the DM.
