When I looked at the brochure, it indicated Viggen has 1 more option for leather seat. I think it is "more dark charcoal" or black and it got the Viggen symbol on the top of the seats.
I am the one who bought the base with all the options. These are the reasons:
1. Swedan sedan with leather seats is much nicer and luxury. Saab leather is the best, better than A4, Passat, and the Japanese'.
2. Almost all 9-3 comes with sunroof. If I buy a car in this class, I think I'd better get a sunroof. Also, it helps my Black/Charcoal combination.
3. I don't want to put premium gas into the car all the time (I'll use 89 or 90 for the base though).
4. I don't really trust the electronic stuff in European cars, especially Saab. The minimum number of electronic equipment, the "safer" my car would be (what can you do if the power seats are not working ?)
5. It saves me around $2000. This fits my budget. I may buy something else for the SE price range.
6. I am driving an automatic. An auto SE will have the same torque (180 ??).
I was thinking about the free schedule maintainence for SE too but it doesn't include tear or wear items, unlike Audi or VW. It may not be worth for me.
