I have a 2000 9-3 SE in automatic, and I'm going to get it tuned. I have a few questions though before. Am I best off just taking it to Nordic and asking for a Step 3 package, or would I do better with Swedish Dynamics or Abbott racing? I will probably get a new ECU and exhaust (probably from turbo back), as well as shocks, springs, wheels and tires. The wheels and tires I would not get from Nordic, as they seem ridiculously expensive, but the Step 3 package gets me all those things, plus the Roadability kit Nordic has really nice springs with it. I could, though, just go to Abbott Racing or Swedish Dynamics and get all of these things piecemeal. Does anybody have any opinions as to which is better, i.e. giving higher performance yet maintaining driveability in normal circumstances, while being reliable and the best value. I'm quite conflicted about it. I live about a 45 minute drive from Wigwam Saab where Nordics are outfitted in the US, and Swedish Dynamics is down in CT, not too far either. I have also heard that there are reliable garages in CT that can Abbott-ize your car for a reasonable fee. Somebody convince me of something ;-)
