Several soft top convertibles I have had in the past do this. I believe eventhough there is a bead of material at the roof edge it can do little to prevent rain rolling over it during a downpour. Typically a hard top has a rain channel a few inches up from the window to direct the rain away from rolling down the side and into the door opening.
Anyway I thought everyone knew that you are only suppose to use a convertible on nice days and use your other cars on rainy days. ;-)
A quick fix to prevent rain from coming in the door is to crawl into the back seat - - lower the seat back - crawl into the trunk and use the remote to open up the trunk and exit that way. ;-)
I still think the funniest story is this one person who owned a Jaguar and found that the windows opened on their own and let water into the car and also that the trunk unlocked and opened in the rain and resulted in a very wet trunk. ;-)
