My old '97 900 SET flooded out when a SUV was speeding in a no wake zone in a few inches of standing water. This is a common occurance in S. Florida when we get 8 - 10 inches of rain in one day.
Insurance covered everything for me as well. Water was sucked into the engine and transmission. Carpeting and floor mats were soaked. Passenger seat had water damage. Everything had to be taken out of the car and dried out or replaced.
I think the total bill (not including rental car) was about $5,000. Took three weeks to do the initial repair. Car didn't run properly after the first fix, more electrical problems. After the dealer fininshed the second repair, no more problems until traded for '00 9-3 convertible two years later.
Good luck, you will need it!
