What's with BMW drivers?

On the way in this morning, this guy in a BMW kept riding my tail. We then came upon a slow driver (below the speed limit) so I passed when it was safe. This guy tried to as well but he didn't quite have the power to keep up and since he was passing AFTER me, could have really endangered people. It was amusing how I out-powered him. It was an older style, probably 325 (never saw the back).
He reminded me of one of those poodles that has to bark twice as loud and jump alot to try to make up for its size. Could he really have been intimidated by the Saab?
To get rid of the guy, I just pulled out as quickly as I could at a busy intersection. He couldn't keep up and ended up behind another car. I saw in my rearview that he wasn't bothering the other driver (Honda) like he was me.
I'm not sure about you guys, but I think I'd look pretty silly trying to "race" an M3 or M5 with a Saab 9-3SE that is relatively stock. That's how this guy looked. Silly. It was almost sad.
Input?
Bill
