dealer stock, because of the overage of cars unsold. End of the fiscal year, and still thousands of Saabs at port and at dealerships, that posed a problem. The dealer stock program was a program designed specifically to move cars, no matter what the cost. Unfortunately, the program is no longer available. You were correct, December was the last month for that program.
The IDS price of $36,095 is the International delivery price for civilains currently. A civilian cannot receive the MIL/DIP pricing, you must have a current, valid Military ID.
The Military Pricing is NOT AN INTERNATIONAL DELIVERY unless you are stationed or are going to be stationed overseas. To achieve the MIL pricing, you must order the car and wait for delivery to the US. If you do take delivery overseas, airfare and all of the extra perks are up to you (not paid for by Saab).
The IDS program falls under the Dealer and Tourist Price List. The tourist program includes the Bed and Breakfast, round-trip airfare, Tour of the factory, and shipping and customs.]
I think the misconception is that IDS and MIL/DIP are the same program. They are not.
