Considerig the low sales of the old 2.5L V6
in the Saab NG900, it is unlikely that SAAB
will reuse it in its new 2.6L version.
(not to mention the bad quality of this Opel engine)
Yes there might be a Atmo 2.2L available as
base engine for Europe along with a Diesel version,
but all the more powerfull versions will probably
retain Turbo engines.
I have been told that the new 2.2L engine (chain driven)
will ultimately be SAABified and that it will replace
the current 2.3L engines. Will see... in any case the 2.2L
engine from GM would need DI a Turbo and lots of mods to
take the torque.
