Headlight Aim & Clutch Chatter Posted by Adam [Email] (#344) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Adam) on Mon, 9 Jul 2001 19:38:04 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I have a brand new 9-3 SE with about 550 miles on it (it had 6 mi. on it when i picked it up).
I was poking around today - checking fluids, battery levels, etc. - just to make sure everything was where it was supposed to be... and in the process of reattaching the battery cover, managed to turn the aiming lever for the headlight.
Does anyone know how to properly read the numbers that are on the knob and the leveler inside the headlight? Are the left and right sides supposed to be the same? Right now the bubbles and the red lines inside the levelers on both look the same and the knobs are set to 0.5.
Also, clutch chatter... when the car is idling in neutral with the clutch released I have noticed a slight "chatter"/clicking that goes away if the clutch peddle is depressed. Is this normal? It doesn't sound like anything major - most people probably wouldn't even notice it. Sometimes it does it and sometimes it does not. I thought this may have something to do with the mesh system. It has been a long time since I've driven manual - most of my experience with manual has come from the old style manual transmissions so the sounds and feelings are new to me. Thoughts on this? :-)
Thanks... Look forward to your responses.
