Hi all, at about 30,000 km, my 1999 93 seemt to lose a bit of boost (I'm a cheap bugger and rather not use Premium fuel). The car seem to suddenly requre higher octane to get up to full boost and still seemed to drop of pretty quickly. Now that I've change my plugs and regapped, I'm able to hold max boost almost indefinitely...even when pulling a trailer!!! Big diff. This is why I think I'll pass on the MBC. My Saab is my daily driver and I'd rather keep it relatively stock...esp now that I can get full boost with regular!! What is the % price diff. for premium in the US? In Canada it's pretty significant, almost 20% more!! BTW if you want to boost your octane cheaply...one tip is to use Methyl Hydrate (you can add up to 10% into your gas without worry), but even a small amount (200 ml or so in a full tank) will make a significant difference.
Mark
