year away from buying a fun car for myself. (End of my daughter's college payments is in reach!!) I have the 9-3SE & Vigen, C70HT, Audi TT & Boxter S convert's on my research list. I recall the C70HT being the fastest on R&T slalom tests, which indicates that it must handle very good? Was it the feel that made you uncomfortable on the C70? I expect that it was the HT you tested, based upon the prices you mentioned?
I have only driven the 9-3SE so far, and very much like Saab's in general. Just wondered if it was the "feel of the shoe" that had you pick the 9-3 over the C70 (of course, <$$ is a factor in these decisions...)?
Thanks for your write up, very informative. Note: I will be shopping the used car market when I do buy, so the rapid drop off of the Saab's might help me get into the Viggen convert....
