Carl,
Sorry, I have not heard of Zaino polish. I do know that using Amorall will, with exposure to sunlight, cause the dash to crack. I believe it actually 'dry rotted' 2 of my tires years back when I used to use it.
I have been using Aerospace 303 on my new Saab convertible. Living in Los Angeles, I need a product that can help block the UV radiation from breaking down the plastic, vinyl, rubber, etc. I put a coat on my leather seats every other month because Lexol does not contain any UV protection that I am aware of.
Here are the following web sites I like:
'http://www.properautocare.com' - This is the site for Classic Motoring Accessories. They carry a very comprehensive line of products. Be sure to check out their other site,'http://www.autopia-carcare.com'. Probably the most extensive list of information on detailing a car.
'http://www.griotsgarage.com' - I ordered headlight shields from Griots. They, too, have everything to take care of your car. Very focused on selling a quality line of products.
'http://www.carcareonline.com' - This site has detailing information in addition to the products they sell.
'http://www.autosupermart.com' - This site may have some products at a better price. They also sell K&N oil filters for those who are interested. I have seen threads about K&N products.
These are the products I used on my '92 Lexus ES300 and am now using on my Saab convertible:
Klasse All-in-one, Klasse Sealant, Malm's Carnuba wax, Aerospace 303, Lexol leather cleaner and conditioner, P21S wheel cleaner.
On my Saab I put on both Klasse treatments and followed that up with a thin coat of Malm's carnuba. The Klasse is actually an acrylic which bonds to the paint. It is able to withstand extremely high temperatures without breaking down. As a result, you only need to apply it twice a year ,if that depending on your car's exposure to the elements. I use the carnuba because it makes the surface super slick and brings out the color. All of these products are very easy to work with. You can also use them on plastic bumpers(not the black part) chrome and glass. If a car's surface does not feel smooth, I use Malm's ultra fine polish to prep the car before any wax goes on. I don't know if this polish is better than using a clay bar. I have not tried any of the new clay products yet. The polish has worked well for me in the past. It can be very labor intensive and time consuming if the car's surface is in poor condition. I use Malm's car wash before any of the tasks listed above.
Lexol seems to do a very good job on the leather.
Aerospace 303 is for the vinyl, rubber, plastic, works great on my car's tanneau cover.
P21S is wonderful at getting the wheels clean. I also apply a coat of Klasse on the wheels to make them more resistent to dust and dirt.
I was using Maguiar's long lasting tire gel to give the tires a really nice glossy finish. However, I am not sure if it contains any UV protection. It does last for weeks, as they claim. You can use the Aerospace 303 on the tires no problem.
