9-3 SE Headlight Aim Posted by Adam [Email] ![]() ![]() |
Can anyone give a description of the procedure to be used when aiming headlights horizontally?
I have a 2001 9-3 SE and according to the levelers in the headlights, the vertical adjustment is dead on. When I am driving at night however, the pattern the lights create seems to be a little weird (or at least different from what I am used to). It seems as though both beams are concentrated on one spot just to the right of dead center (if driving in the center of a freeway lane). Is this correct?
The procedure in the book says to adjust vertical and then set the horizontal to 0 and adjust from there. It does not give specifics however as to what to adjust it to or what the pattern should look like.
SO, if anyone has any suggestions as to what the pattern should look like or better yet, if someone has a new 9-3 SE (I think the trim level is important here since the aim is dependent on suspension.) and could post their factory horizontal settings, that would be great... trying to avoid a trip to the dealer an hour away.
TIA!
