So far the 9-3 has been my favorite of 3 SAABs over the last 13 years. My only problem with my 99 9-3 was a bad cell in the battery, requiring battery replacement at 30k miles.
As far as the alignment, except for toe in/out there are no adjustments.
It is either in align from the factory or not. You have to bend or break a
front end part to cause it to be out of alignment.
Two weeks ago, I was unfortunate and struck a 9 inch deep pot hole at
55 mph. The 9-3 never lost tracking but developed a faint steering wheel
tremor under torque. I brought the 9-3 in to my Tech. The right front wheel, which struck the hole had been flatten on 6 inches of the circumference on the inside edge only. I must remark I drove this situation
for almost 2 weeks and at some (blush) high speeds. Everything in the 9-3 pulled together to minimize the problem. Lastly, when checked with Laser
alignment, the 9-3 was still dead on.
Try that with a Pissant aa er I mean Passant, I always get those two mixed up.
